Origin: Panama, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela and Colombia.
Climate: Temperate/cold.
Temperature: 12/25°C
Light: Shady in summer and very bright in winter.
Watering: Regular, providing good ventilation. Gradually reduce and stop watering as soon as the first leaves have fallen, signalling the end of vegetation for this deciduous species.
Flowering: Summer, autumn and winter.
Substrate: Based on sphagnum moss and medium-grained pine bark.
